Generally, it is expected that a Fitness Sales Manager be primarily focused on business development internally and externally (renewing current clients and acquiring new clients). The Fitness Sales Manager is the only team member besides the General Manager/Owner who is responsible for sales, scheduling, and managing client accounts. It is expected that the Fitness Sales Manager provides approximately 20 personal training sessions per week in addition to management duties.

As a Fitness Sales Manager, you will...

  • Design safe and effective fitness programs accommodating the unique needs and goals of each Fitness Together®client, including adapting programs when clients travel or participate in their sessions virtually
  • Educate and empower clients with a clear understanding of their fitness program, so that they are motivated to stay committed to their plan outside the studio
  • Conduct both in-studio and Live, 1-on-1 Virtual Personal Training sessions with clients
  • Be the first point of contact a new prospect has with the studio. You’ll make a lasting first impression by genuinely welcoming new clients to the studio, and effectively conduct F.I.T. Consultations with the studio Manager in order to gather the information necessary to properly assign new clients to their starting zones
  • Help to grow the studio by focusing on new client acquisition and retention (session packages or memberships) of current clients.
  • Ensure new and existing client data is accurately logged daily to provide updates on client progress and/or injuries
  • Demonstrate discipline in executing the new client onboarding process to ensure each client and team member is set up for success, every time
  • Think creatively and be solution-oriented in developing strategies to continuously improve Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics
  • Get excited at the idea of helping to spread the word in the community using local studio marketing efforts (networking, building key collaborations, community events, etc.)
  • Take pride in the presentation of the studio by ensuring maintenance, cleanliness and safety of studio and equipment
  • Foster a positive work environment where employees love coming to work each day

Position Requirements:

  • Prior experience managing/supervising others a plus
  • Intermediate computer literacy - MS Office, email, and internet
  • CPR/AED & First Aid Certified
  • Exercise Science Degree preferred but not required for this position
  • National Certification required (NASM, NSCA or ACSM)
  • Prior experience in sales and/or marketing a plus
  • 2-4 years of personal training and program design experience
  • Extensive understanding of injury prevention/management
  • Experience & success working with special populations
  • Excellent verbal communication and listening skills
  • Ability to collaborate and thrive in a team environment
  • Ability to adapt quickly to each client’s individual needs
  • Must have the emotional stamina to be “at your best” with each client
  • Ability to motivate and coach clients, in order to ensure continuous progress
  • Ability to motivate, direct, lead a group, and delegate tasks
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions (written and verbal)
  • Adhere to all safety and sanitation protocols for the studio

Personal Trainer Lead | Fitness Together | Topsfield, MA

As a Fitness Together®Lead Personal Trainer, you will...

  • Design safe and effective fitness programs accommodating the unique needs and goals of each Fitness Together®client, including adapting programs when clients travel or participate in their sessions virtually
  • Educate and empower clients with a clear understanding of their fitness program, so that they are motivated to stay committed to their plan outside the studio
  • Conduct both in-studio and Live, 1-on-1 Virtual Personal Training sessions with clients
  • Coach all team members on program design to ensure that all programs meet brand standards and follow the proper training protocols
  • Audit programs and hold regular meetings with each member of the team to review programs
  • Help to troubleshoot ideas for accommodating clients with challenging injuries or limitations that will keep them safe, but still on track with their goals
  • Express a positive attitude and show regular appreciation to clients and team members
  • Create unique, memorable and personal experiences for clients and team members that make Fitness Together®clients for life
  • Interact with clients and team members without judgement, and express empathy for those around them
  • Foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration to meet the needs of those around them
  • Always maintain a space of cleanliness and ensure a safe and accident-free environment
  • Professionally represent yourself through your appearance, language and behavior

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or related field preferred
  • National Certification required (NASM, NSCA or ACSM)
  • 2-4 years of personal training and program design experience
